Strategic Planning: Learn from the Past, Create the Future and Live Fully in the Present Urgent calls, pressing voice mails, compelling emails and more! In the fast-paced, ever-changing world we live in, it is easy to suffer from "tyranny of the immediate." By doing so, however, we ultimately suffer from lack of vision, loss of purpose, no clear set of goals and no compass to guide our day-to-day decisions.
Strategic planning is the process that allows us to learn from the past, create the future in our thoughts, our words, our writing and our actions and live intentional lives - fully in the present moment. Depending on the length of the presentation or workshop, Angelina will:
- provide an overview of strategic planning – the who, what, when, where, why, and how
- present various approaches or methodologies for strategic planning
- explain the various components of strategic planning and the strategic planning document
- provide opportunities for participants to experience the various aspects of strategic planning
- help participants understand and experience the role of the strategic planning facilitator
- model the various "attributes" of a good facilitator and the facilitation process
- discuss the benefits of good strategic planning
- outline a framework for getting started on strategic planning
Angelina will spend time also discussing the difference between:
- the Content of Strategic Planning - what is being discussed, the task at hand, the subject being dealt with, or the problem being solved and
- the Process of Strategic Planning - how things are being discussed, the methods, procedures, format and tools used.
